Childcare vouchers make childcare more affordable for parents. This can give them more choice about which childcare provider they use and how much childcare they use. It can also make a big difference for mothers who are deciding whether to return to work after maternity leave. By making childcare more affordable, childcare vouchers can open your childcare business to a wider market.

When parents sign up for childcare vouchers, they usually receive the vouchers instead of part of their salary. This means they automatically have part of their salary set aside to pay for childcare, which helps to ensure that you get paid promptly.

 

How can I start to accept Ladybird Vouchers?

If any parents would like to start paying you with Ladybird Vouchers, they simply need to let us know when they order their vouchers. The first time a parent asks to pay you with Ladybird Vouchers, we will send you a simple registration form. You can complete the registration online or by post, fax or phone.

 

How do I redeem a voucher?

If a parent makes an electronic payment to you, you don't need to do anything. If you are given a paper or email voucher, you need to redeem it so that we can make the payment to you. To redeem Ladybird Vouchers, you need to register by telephoning or e-mailing us. If you have already registered, you can redeem vouchers by simply emailing us the voucher number. Payment will then be made to your bank account.

 

How will I know which parents have paid?

You will receive an email every time we make a payment to you. When you register, you can choose whether you would like us to quote the parent's name, the child's name or a reference of your choice when we pay you.
