How does it work?

How it works

• You visit the store of your choice and choose your bike and equipment if necessary (total value must not exceed £1000). You will be given a paper quote which you will need to copy and send to us via fax, email or post.
• Your employer confirms eligibility and approves the quote and request. Ladybird will send them an invoice for the bike package, and a hire agreement is sent to you to sign. When your employer has paid for the bike you will be sent a voucher which you need to take with you when you collect your bike.
• Your hire payments are deducted from your gross monthly salary. At the end of the hire period your employer has the option to offer the bike to you. If you want the bike you pay a Fair Market Value payment to own it outright.
• You contact your chosen bike shop to arrange collection. You'll be asked for photographic ID and your voucher when collecting the bike and equipment.

Tell your Employer about it!

A ride to work scheme is a great incentive for employees, and companies can save money too - every bike processed through the scheme means an employer's National Insurance saving.  Your Employer might not have heard of the scheme so shout about it, stamp your feet and let them know you want to join! afterall, they will be incentivising staff AND saving money - who can argue with that?

They can even download it from this site. Ladybird provides full support for administering the scheme so there is no extra work for your employer which is great news for them.

PAYE only

As with all salary sacrifice schemes this is deemed valid only as an employee benefit so as such self employed people are unable to benefit from this tax break unfortunately.
