What are Childcare Vouchers?

Childcare Vouchers are an employee benefit available to all eligible working parents.

Childcare Vouchers can be used to pay for all types of registered childcare, including holiday clubs, before and after school clubs, childminders, nannies, nurseries and play schemes.

Once an employer is registered with Ladybird, working parents are entitled to exchange a portion of their gross salary for childcare vouchers. This portion of their pay is exempt from Tax and National Insurance Contributions, which means your employee can make savings of up to £199* per month on their childcare costs.

 

Employers also save money

Employers can save money too, as typically the scheme has no net cost! Employers can save up to £373* per employee, per year on their NIC for each individual taking Childcare Vouchers.

All good employers should now at least be offering support to their working parents by offering the option of Childcare Vouchers, after all it costs nothing and all of the administration is taken care of by Ladybird.
